AirAsia adds extra flight frequencies for Hari Raya Aidiladha

AirAsia, the world's best low-cost airline for the ninth consecutive year will be increasing the flight frequencies from Kuala Lumpur to Kota Bharu, Kuala Terengganu, Johor Bahru and Alor Setar to meet the demand for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidiladha.

Flights to Kota Bharu will increase from 75 to 89 flights one way weekly, flights to Kuala Terengganu will increase from 47 to 54 flights one way weekly, flights to Alor Setar will increase from 33 to 40 flights one way weekly for travel period between 26 August 2017 and 3 September 2017, and flights to Johor Bahru will increase from 38 to 41 flights one way weekly for travel period between 29 August to 12 September 2017.

In conjunction with the upcoming holiday period, AirAsia is offering 20% off of All Seats, All Flights from now to 16 July 2017 for the travel period between 17 July 2017 and 23 November 2017. Bookings can be made through airasia.com, the AirAsia mobile app and AirAsiaGo. AirAsia BIG members can also redeem flights during this sale using your AirAsia BIG Points.

Spencer Lee, Head of Commercial for AirAsia Berhad said, "We are pleased to add extra flights for the upcoming Hari Raya Aidiladha celebration, so guests can plan their balik kampung trip ahead with more flight options and take advantage of our robust connectivity within Malaysia; which includes new routes such as Langkawi-Kuching, Langkawi-Johor Bahru, Johor Bahru-Kuala Terengganu, Johor Bahru- Tawau, and many more."

He added, "AirAsia is also constantly working to grow our domestic hubs to serve our guests better and we hope the new routes as well as the additional flight frequencies will assist to facilitate smooth travel for our guests."

During the holiday period, AirAsia guests are encouraged to arrive at the airport 3 hours prior to departure time and perform self-check in via web, mobile or kiosk services to avoid the expected congestion. Baggage Drop counters close 60 minutes before flight departure for all AirAsia and AirAsia X flights, hence guests are advised to pre-book their checked baggage allowance online for a smoother journey.

It is also recommended for guests to pre-book the inflight meal online which is available up to 24 hours before scheduled departure time. AirAsia's inflight menu, Santan has launched a new hot meal, the Chicken Lasagne Combo Meal which comes with a free drink when you pre-book online from as low as RM10 on AirAsia (AK) flights, and from RM18 on AirAsia X (D7) flights. Guests are also encouraged to plan and book their flights ahead up to 365 days in advance to enjoy low fares for all travelling period.
