AirAsia introduces new exclusive route from Kuala Lumpur to Bhubaneswar, India

Flights will commence on 26 April 2017 with 4 weekly flights, celebratory fares from as low as RM99* one way

AirAsia, the world's best low cost airline adds Bhubaneswar into its list of destinations in India with four weekly direct flights from Kuala Lumpur, which will commence operations on 26 April 2017, making this AirAsia's 14th route into India.

This new route is operated exclusively by AirAsia Berhad (flight code AK) and will offer guests an experience into the ancient city of Bhubaneswar, which is the capital of India's Odisha state.

Also known as ‘Temple City of India', Bhubaneswar is the capital of the Indian state of Odisha, formerly known as Orissa and has a population of over two million people. It has a rich history of over 3,000 years and is now a rapidly growing city with commercial districts and a buzzing tourism sector with new upscale hotels, shops and restaurants.

Amongst some of the must-visit attractions include the ancient Lingaraj Temple, built in the 11th century as "the truest fusion of dream and reality", and places such as Khandagiri and Udayagiri Caves which date back to the 2nd century BC. Historical places such as the Tribal Museum of Bhubaneswar is rich with collection of artifacts, crafts and art objects belonging to different tribes, while the Raj Bhavan garden serves as an important landmark of the modern capital city of Odisha.
